Dana Counseling Program
Learn about the academic program at Dana Middle School. Included in the handout is an explanation of the math course progression at the middle school level. Also, find the program planning sheets to identify and learn about elective choices for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. For 8th graders, take a look at the 8th grade planning section for information about academic program planning for high school.
Dana counselors provide short-term problem solving counseling for personal and social issues that may arise. Click here for information about our WEB program (Transition and mentoring program), outside counseling agencies, and other resources.
The career counseling component of the Dana Counseling Program is designed to get kids thinking about their interests and schoolwork as it relates to their future profession. Each year, students participate in a career exploration program that allows them to begin to plan for life after school.
It's officially time to start thinking about the transition to high school and, more specifically, high school programming.
